Squire's Garden Centres announce new charity partners

Now in its fifteenth year, the initiative sees each Squire’s centre partner with a local charity chosen by colleagues. From 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026, fundraising activities took place across the business, raising vital funds and awareness for a wide range of community organisations and local charities supporting local people, families and environmental projects.

Each charity partner is carefully selected against specific criteria. Funds raised must benefit local people and communities directly, remain within the local area and support causes that align with Squire’s commitment to making a positive difference where it matters most.

Sam Dickson, Managing Director – Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “Being part of our local communities has always been incredibly important to Squire’s. This fantastic fundraising total is only possible thanks to the enthusiasm of our colleagues and the generosity of our customers, who continue to support so many worthwhile local causes. Together, we’ve helped charities that provide essential services, support families and individuals, and improve the lives of people in the communities we serve. We are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved and look forward to supporting another wonderful group of charities over the coming year.”

Fundraising activities varied from centre to centre and included raffle prizes, collection boxes, festive fundraising through Squire’s Christmas Grottos, community events and customer celebrations. Beyond the funds raised, the programme also helps shine a spotlight on the valuable work undertaken by local charities, creating stronger community connections and opportunities for colleagues to become involved.

Alongside its local Charity of the Year partnerships, Squire’s continues to support national horticultural charities including Greenfingers Charity, which creates inspiring gardens for children’s hospices, and Perennial, the UK’s charity helping people working in horticulture.
