Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust distributes £316,250 to charities

The Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust, the charitable arm of law firm Mills & Reeve, distributed £316,250 to more than 130 charities during the 2025/26 financial year.

The funding supported organisations at local, national and international level, as the Trust continued its work to support charitable causes and communities beyond the firm’s legal work.

The Trust has been central to Mills & Reeve’s charitable giving for more than 40 years. It is funded by contributions from the firm’s partners and supports causes that align with its values and responsible business priorities, as well as helping to strengthen the communities where Mills & Reeve’s people live and work.

The largest share of funding in 2025/26 went to organisations working within the Trust’s core theme for the year: health and wellbeing.

That support extended beyond traditional healthcare provision, with significant funding directed towards organisations addressing some of the wider factors that influence people’s health and quality of life. These included poverty, housing insecurity, disability, mental wellbeing, community resilience and social connection.

Among the donations made during the year were:

Almost £60,000 to charities tackling food poverty

£16,400 to Cancer Research UK

£10,000 each to CALM, The Felix Project, Dementia UK and the British Red Cross

£8,450 to Fortalice

£7,700 to IntoUniversity

£5,500 to the Royal Society for Blind Children

The charities supported by the Trust are making a real difference to people's lives. Feedback received from funded organisations this year highlighted the impact of donations, from supporting breast cancer patients through Little Lifts, to helping veterans through Combat Stress and empowering blind and partially sighted children through the Royal Society for Blind Children.
