Tallents Solicitors, a law firm with offices in Newark, Southwell, and Mansfield, has raised over £78,000 through its ongoing support of the annual Will Aid campaign.

Participating in Will Aid since 2015, the firm has donated a total of £78,878 by offering clients professionally written basic wills each November in exchange for voluntary donations to Will Aid, instead of charging standard fees. The initiative supports nine leading charities in the UK and overseas, including Age UK, British Red Cross, and Save the Children.

In the 2024 campaign alone, Tallents Solicitors raised £7,870, earning recognition as the second highest-donating firm in the East Midlands.

Sarah Allen, Partner and Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate, said:

“We’re proud to reach this milestone. Will Aid allows us to give back while providing people with the peace of mind that comes from having a professionally written will. It’s been a real team effort, and we’re thrilled to support such impactful causes.”

The team was joined in celebration by Jayne Owens, Community Legacy Manager at the British Red Cross, who praised the firm's commitment: “We are incredibly grateful for the support. These donations help us respond to crises both in the UK and globally.”

Since its inception in 1988, Will Aid has raised over £24 million in donations, with millions more pledged in legacies.

Lauren Poole, Chair of Will Aid, commended participating firms:

“Solicitors like those at Tallents give their time and expertise to make a real difference. Their generosity supports life-changing work around the world.”

The Will Aid campaign runs every November, encouraging people to create a will whilst supporting charities.
