The Fore increases maximum grant to £45,000 in response to rising needs
The Fore has announced that it will raise its maximum unrestricted grant size from £30,000 to £45,000, marking a significant step to better support small charities and social enterprises navigating today’s evolving funding landscape.
This change, driven by the rising cost of living and increased operational pressures on the sector, will take effect from the Autumn 2025 funding round. Registrations of interest for that round open on 22 July 2025.
By increasing the ceiling, The Fore aims to ensure its support remains ambitious and responsive—enabling high-potential organisations to deliver transformational impact at a time when resources are more stretched than ever.
“We know that small charities and social enterprises are facing growing demands and escalating costs,” a spokesperson from The Fore said. “This increase allows us to remain a uniquely impactful funder, offering flexible support that can truly catalyse change.”
The Fore's application process remains unchanged. Successful applicants will continue to benefit from a comprehensive package of support beyond the grant itself, including:
• Free impact measurement training
• Tailored workshops
• Access to a pro bono network of skilled professionals
• Invitations to networking events and introductions to additional funding opportunities
The Fore’s mission remains rooted in helping society solve its own problems—by identifying and investing in innovative grassroots solutions and supporting them to grow sustainably and strategically.
