Reading Buses extends its charity partnership with the Royal Berks Charity for 2nd consecutive year

Reading Buses recently announced that they were extending their charity partnership with the Royal Berks Charity for a 2nd year as their 2024 charity of the year.

On 17th January 2024 at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading Buses were able to announce to the staff of the charity, the total fundraising amount raised in 2023 was £11,739.

Reading Buses also unveiled a charity branded bus to commemorate the 2nd year of the charity partnership.

This Royal Berks Charity branded bus shows the Bus Operator's continued support for the charity, as well as their commitment to help raise funds and awareness for the charity throughout the year.

The eye-catching branded charity bus will be found operating on routes across Reading, Bracknell and Newbury; helping raise awareness of the charity’s work and how they help support both patients and staff.

As part of the design there is also a text to donate scheme where people can help support the charity by texting 5BUS to 70085 to donate £5.

As part of the event outside the Royal Berkshire hospital, the company was able to present the charity with a cheque for the sum of £11,739.

The funds raised includes money raised from a vast array of events that took place amongst Reading Bus staff including bake sales, foreign currency collections, charity raffles and Christmas Jumper days.
