Hearst Networks UK has announced a significant new charity partnership with Solace Women’s Aid, deepening its commitment to addressing gender-based violence through its ongoing ‘End Abuse Against Women’ initiative.

Launched in 2019 via the Crime+Investigation channel, the campaign is part of Hearst's broader EMEA-wide corporate social responsibility efforts. It seeks to raise awareness about domestic abuse, support survivors, and advocate for systemic change.

Now in its sixth year, the initiative is expanding its impact in the UK through collaboration with Solace Women’s Aid, a leading London-based charity marking its 50th anniversary in 2025. Renowned for its survivor-led, trauma-informed approach, Solace provides essential services to women and children affected by domestic and sexual abuse, helping them rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

“Hearst Networks UK is proud to join forces with Solace in this vital mission,” said a company spokesperson. “By partnering with one of the country’s most respected organisations in this space, we hope to amplify survivor voices and promote meaningful change.”

Over the years, Hearst has worked with numerous charities, ambassadors, and influencers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to shed light on one of society’s most pervasive yet underreported crimes. The company’s true crime brand, Crime+Investigation, has played a pivotal role in this effort, airing documentaries and programs that confront the realities of violence against women while highlighting survivor stories.

As the charity partnership moves forward, both Hearst and Solace aim to expand outreach, raise public awareness, and ensure survivors have access to the support they need.

“Hearst Networks UK is committed to using our platform to empower women and drive meaningful change,” said Heather Jones, Chief Creative Officer EMEA and General Manager UK at Hearst Networks UK. “By joining forces with Solace Women’s Aid, we are helping to play a part in improving the lives of many women in need.”

The collaboration includes hands-on volunteer support from Hearst employees and participation in Solace’s ambassador programme. Solace will, in turn, provide educational workshops and training sessions to raise awareness and build long-term understanding around issues of gender-based violence.

“We’re delighted to partner with Hearst Networks UK as part of their ‘End Abuse Against Women’ initiative”, Rebecca Goshawk, Director of Business Development at Solace, commented. “As a leading provider of specialist services for survivors of domestic abuse, we understand the importance of sharing survivors’ stories and raising awareness around the realities of domestic abuse. We’re excited to work together with Hearst Networks UK to amplify survivors’ voices and work towards a society where all women and girls can thrive.”
