The Forvis Mazars Foundation UK will support local and national charities working with people under 25 years of age.

Forvis Mazars has announced the launch of the Forvis Mazars Foundation UK (“the Foundation”), an independent registered charity dedicated to improving social mobility for young people across the United Kingdom.

Unveiled on National Social Mobility Day, the Foundation aims to support under-resourced individuals up to the age of 25, helping them realise their potential and build a positive future.

With a focus on long-term, sustainable impact, the Foundation is committed to providing flexible funding, encouraging cross-sector collaboration, and strengthening the wider charitable ecosystem.

The Foundation will fund a range of charitable organisations across the UK that are actively working to enhance opportunities for young people.

Its work will be underpinned by an annual donation from the UK partnership of Forvis Mazars.

In addition to financial support, Forvis Mazars will offer pro bono services and skills-based volunteering to partner charities, extending the value and impact of the Foundation’s contributions.

The Foundation will focus on three key changes to improve social mobility:

  • Reducing the attainment gap by supporting children, parents and carers to develop foundational skills such as literacy and numeracy to ensure success at school.

  • Preparing young people for life by providing equal access to opportunities that build essential life skills, including teamwork, leadership, ambition, and self-belief.

  • Widening access to education and employment by helping young adults gain the networks, relationships, and cultural knowledge needed to succeed in education and the job market.

“Forvis Mazars has always been committed to making a difference, building on a legacy of forty years of charitable giving through the Mazars Charitable Trust. The launch of this new foundation is a significant step in furthering our impact,” said James Gilbey, Chief Executive Officer at Forvis Mazars in the UK. “Every young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential, and through the Foundation, we aim to provide the support to make that happen.”

The Foundation is grounded in shared, strong values: doing the right thing, acting with respect, and taking responsibility. Its work aligns with the firm’s broader ESG commitments, reinforcing its dedication to ethical business practices and meaningful community engagement.

To drive immediate impact, the Foundation is providing £400,000 of funding to the following six charity partners across the UK:

  • EveryYouth– backing initiatives to help young homeless people thrive and achieve positive outcomes through the EveryYouth Employed, Project Flourish, and Boost programmes.

  • Future First – investing in 30 new fast-track alumni networks in state schools in areas of high deprivation across the UK.

  • Get Further – helping to build organisational capacity and drive student engagement to increase impact.

  • Leadership Through Sport & Business – supporting the launch of a new business bootcamp in Glasgow, rolling out the FutureYou programme nationally, and supporting existing business bootcamps across the UK.

  • Learning with Parents – providing funding which will expand infrastructure, support schools, and scale impact.

  • My Time Young Carers – enabling the launch of the Equity for Young Carers project, aimed at identifying, celebrating, and inspiring best practice across the UK to support young carers.
