Doors 2 Floors Wins Prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award

A national Doors retailer has been honoured with a prestigious global award for its acclaimed Social Responsibility Programme.


Ismaeel Basar, MD of Doors2Floors.co.uk along with owner, Shiraz Karolia will be attending the presentation ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral, London on June 1 to receive the International Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Award as part of the International CSR Excellence Awards, which honour and celebrate organisations that incorporate ethical practices, community engagement and environmental stewardship into their core operations.


Ismaeel Basar, Managing Director of Doors 2 Floors, along with owner Shiraz Karolia, will attend a presentation ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on June 1 to receive the International Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Award. The accolade forms part of the International CSR Excellence Awards, which celebrate organisations that embed ethical practices and community engagement into their core operations.


The global awards programme recognises organisations and professionals leading the way in corporate social responsibility.


Doors 2 Floors received the award for a range of impactful campaigns aimed at supporting children undergoing end-of-life care at the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Under the “Walk 2 Help” initiative, where “miracle man” Ismail Patel walked nine miles from the Doors 2 Floors headquarters to raise vital funds and awareness.


The company also supported the “Walk 2 Run” initiative, where professional boxers from Dicky’s Gym pledged to take part in a run to generate much-needed funds for the hospice.


In addition, Doors2Floors.co.uk partnered with Batley Multi Academy Trust on a number of community and educational initiatives. This collaboration includes student design projects, mentorship opportunities, and support for charitable events. The partnership aims to provide hands-on learning and career-focused experiences for students across the Trust’s schools.


The company also delivered an intensive internship programme for a young intern, Uzayr Bulsari, who developed a range of transferable skills and has since secured full-time employment with the Department for Work and Pensions.


Further demonstrating its community commitment, Doors 2 Floors sponsored Mount Pleasant FC Under-7s team.

“Our goal was to not only promote positive messages but also to connect people with groups, organisations and services which are making a tangible difference in the community.


“The campaigns, which involved the sharing of thoughtful contributions and small acts of generosity, are still ongoing, ensured we worked closely with The Forget Me Not Hospice, Batley Multi Academy Trust, Dickys Gym and Mount Pleasant FC to inspire everyday acts of kindness.


“Our goal was to not only promote positive messages but also to connect people with the organisations and services that we work with because they are making a tangible difference in the community that we are based.


“Even though we are a nation retailer with clients across Scotland, England and Wales, we are a proud Yorkshire based company with Batley based roots and we are committed to the community in which we are based by highlighting the spirit and cultural richness of the area, while also drawing attention to such positivity in our community.”
