Kohler Mira announces their new charity of the year

In January, Kohler Mira announced that their 2020 Charity Partner was Sue Ryder. After such a great year of fundraising during 2019, Kohler Mira employees are proud to start raising money for such a worthy charity. Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – Sue Ryder are there when it matters. One of the charity's hospices is located in Leckhampton, very close to Kohler Mira's Cheltenham site, and is therefore an important charity for several of their associates that have a personal experience with the charity. Kohler Mira fundraising was kicked off with collection buckets at the business vision launch, and associates are already planning events for the year ahead! Elise Hoadley, Hospice Director at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, "All our volunteers, Sue Ryder Nurses, care and support staff were absolutely thrilled to hear the news that our charity has been chosen as Kohler Mira's charity partner this year. Their support will make a huge difference to the families needing our expert and compassionate palliative care and bereavement support. Thank you. "This year is the World Health Organisation's 'Year of the Nurse', celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, and it is also the 40th year we have been providing care to people in Gloucestershire, so it is a really poignant year for us to have your vital support. Nationwide as a charity we're there for thousands of people every year, providing 2.2 million hours of palliative, neurological and bereavement support through our online community, homecare service, seven hospices and four neurological centres across the UK."
