Colleagues at Platform Housing Group have raised a record-breaking £51,611.54 for the NSPCC following a year of fundraising in support of the children's charity.

The impressive fundraising total marks the highest amount ever raised through one of the housing association's corporate charity partnerships, reflecting the dedication, enthusiasm and generosity of colleagues across the organisation.

A packed programme of fundraising activities took place throughout the year, with colleagues taking on a wide range of challenges and events to support the NSPCC's vital work protecting children and young people across the UK.

Fundraising highlights included a charity cycle ride across the Midlands, a skydive, Steptember challenges, Christmas arts and crafts events, and participation in the London Marathon. These were complemented by numerous other creative initiatives organised by teams across the business.

The NSPCC was selected as Platform Housing Group's corporate charity partner for 2025/26 through the organisation's annual colleague nomination and voting process. The partnership supported the charity's mission to prevent child abuse, protect vulnerable children and provide support for young people and families.

Clare Durnin, Chief People and Excellence Officer at Platform Housing Group, said:

"Colleagues across Platform have achieved something truly remarkable over the past year. Raising more than £51,000 for the NSPCC is a fantastic accomplishment and demonstrates the passion, generosity and community spirit that exists throughout our organisation.

"From cycling challenges and skydives to craft events and marathons, colleagues have gone above and beyond to support an incredibly important cause. The NSPCC carries out life-changing work for children and young people, and we are proud to have contributed to that work.

"I would also like to thank everyone who donated, participated in events or supported our fundraising efforts throughout the year."

The NSPCC, which has been working to prevent child abuse and protect children since 1884, relies on the support of individuals, communities and corporate partners to continue its services across the UK.

Paula Marshall, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the NSPCC, said:

"We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by everyone at Platform Housing Group over the past year. Raising more than £51,000 is an outstanding achievement and will help us continue protecting children and supporting young people and families across the UK.

"It has been inspiring to see the creativity, enthusiasm and commitment colleagues have demonstrated through so many different fundraising activities, and we would like to thank everyone who took part or made a donation."

Platform Housing Group has now announced that Macmillan Cancer Support will become its corporate charity partner for the next two years, with colleagues already preparing a new programme of fundraising activities.

Clare added:

"We are excited to begin supporting Macmillan and look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts for another charity that provides invaluable support to people and families across our communities."

Platform Housing Group has developed a strong reputation for ambitious fundraising, with colleagues regularly taking on challenges ranging from skydives and long-distance cycling events to marathons, community fundraising initiatives and creative workplace activities.

Much of Platform Housing Group's fundraising success is driven by its volunteer Fundraising Committee, which plays a leading role in organising events and encouraging colleagues to get involved throughout the year.
