Making Everyday Impact Together: P&G UK marks 25 Years of Charity Partnership with leading product giving charity In Kind Direct

P&G brands are part of millions of people’s daily routines - from caring for babies and keeping homes clean, to supporting everyday health and hygiene needs - and P&G recognise they can play a small but important role in helping people feel comfortable, confident and supported.

And so, for that reason over the last 25 years, P&G UK has been partnered with In Kind Direct, the UK’s leading product giving charity, which commits to ensuring everyone has access to life’s essentials and that no usable product goes to waste. Via its network of over 9,000 charities, community groups and schools, In Kind Direct helps distribute donated products to communities across the UK.

Since 2001, P&G’s long-standing and well established charity partnership with In Kind Direct has helped donate products from brands including Pampers, Fairy and Gillette reach charities supporting families, children and individuals experiencing hardship. Donations have included Pampers nappies and Gillette razors amongst other everyday essentials. By partnering with In Kind Direct, P&G is able to support local charities, and help ensure everyday essentials reach people in practical and meaningful ways.

Tom Moody, Senior Vice President & General Manager, P&G Northern Europe, said:

“I’m incredibly proud of the partnership we’ve built with In Kind Direct over the last 25 years and of the impact we’ve made together.

“What has always stood out to me is the hugely important role local charities play in supporting their communities. In Kind Direct’s expertise and understanding of the charitable sector helps connect organisations like P&G with those charities in a meaningful and effective way.”

The charities supported via In Kind Direct’s network are incredibly varied, from baby banks and family support services to foodbanks, homelessness charities and youth organisations. By partnering together, they provide vital support to communities from across the country.

Michael Gidney, Chief Executive of In Kind Direct, said:

“Twenty-five years of partnership with P&G means that thousands of families have been supported with essential quality products that they otherwise might have gone without. That makes a massive difference.

“It is more important than ever that we work together to ensure everybody can access the basics they need to participate fully in everyday life.

“In Kind Direct are on a mission to make sure no one goes without essential products that make life worth living, and our long-standing partnership with P&G shows the impact that can be achieved through collaboration.”

P&G are looking forward to more years of the charity partnership with In Kind Direct, continuing to support local communities together.
