Jet2 and NSPCC celebrate over £460,000 raised via their charity partnership

Jet2 and the NSPCC are celebrating a significant milestone in their ongoing charity partnership, having raised over £460,000 since the collaboration launched in March 2023. These vital funds have been instrumental in supporting the NSPCC’s frontline services, enabling the charity to continue its crucial work in protecting vulnerable children and young people across the UK.

Beyond the financial contributions, the partnership has delivered a wide-reaching impact. From pro bono expertise and community engagement initiatives to the involvement of apprentices, Jet2 has demonstrated a deep commitment to the NSPCC’s mission: to ensure every child is safe, heard, and supported. This multifaceted collaboration reflects the powerful role corporate partnerships can play in driving social change and safeguarding future generations.

Expanding Lifesaving Support in Leeds

Thanks to Jet2’s continued backing, three vital NSPCC services in Leeds have seen substantial growth:

• Pregnancy in Mind (PiM): Supporting expectant parents struggling with mental health challenges.

• Domestic Abuse Recovering Together (DART): Helping children and families heal from the trauma of domestic abuse.

• Letting the Future In (LTFI): A therapeutic service for children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse.

In addition, Jet2’s support has enabled the expansion of the Childline base in Leeds, including the introduction of a new night service and the recruitment of over 50 active volunteers, with 25 more currently in training - a critical boost to this life-changing helpline.

Staff Commitment

Jet2 employees across the organisation have shown remarkable dedication and generosity in support of the NSPCC, engaging in a diverse range of fundraising initiatives. From seasonal gift collections and local charity events to taking on major national challenges like the London Marathon and the Wakefield Dragon Boat Race, their efforts have made a meaningful difference to children and young people across the UK.

Apprentices at Jet2 have also made a standout contribution. During National Apprenticeship Week, they led impactful initiatives such as the Bright Sparks Lunch Club and developed innovative campaigns to support the recruitment of volunteers for Childline. Their creativity and commitment have been key in advancing the NSPCC’s mission to protect and support every child.

A Shared Mission to Protect Children

Commenting on the charity partnership, Jet2 representatives expressed pride in the tangible difference their collaboration with the NSPCC is making.

“We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved alongside the NSPCC. This partnership is not just about raising money—it’s about taking action to protect children and give them the support they need to thrive. We’re deeply grateful to every colleague who has contributed to this journey.”

Through ongoing collaboration and a shared commitment to child protection, Jet2 and the NSPCC are laying the groundwork for a brighter future—one in which more children can grow up feeling safe, supported, and full of hope.
