Rygor announces Charities of the Year

Rygor Commercials recently announced it will be supporting 3 South-West based charities throughout 2020. Each year, the team at Rygor nominates and votes for charities local to its sites. This year the team has chosen to support Dorothy House Hospice Care, which provides compassionate care to people living with life-limiting illnesses; Wiltshire Air Ambulance, which provides emergency medical helicopter response to the people of Wiltshire and the surrounding areas; and Cots for Tots, an initiative providing support and accommodation for the families of critically ill babies who come from all over the South West and beyond, for lifesaving treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Michaels’s Hospital. Maxine Moustrides, corporate fundraiser at Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, which runs Cots for Tots said: “Imagine seeing your baby fighting for their life and being rushed into critical care. Now imagine being so far from home, and not knowing when you’ll be able to return. Every year, this is the reality for hundreds of families from across the South West, South Wales and even further afield, who come to St Michael’s NICU for life-saving care. With the brilliant support of companies like Rygor, Cots for Tots can be there for these families. With their help, we can provide free accommodation at Cots for Tots House and specialist family support to help mums and dads through the emotional, financial and psychological complexities of having a baby in intensive care. We’ll also be able support their little ones too, by funding ground-breaking equipment, medical facilities and specialist support staff.” Henrietta Beard, corporate fundraiser for Dorothy House Hospice Care said: “Dorothy House is absolutely thrilled to be chosen as one of Rygor’s chosen charities for 2020, I look forward to our continued collaboration with this dynamic business where supporting their community is a key element of their Corporate Social Responsibility.” Valerie Whistler, partnerships coordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance said: “We are absolutely delighted at the news that Rygor Commercials has chosen us as their Charity of the Year for 2020. The partnership between us grows stronger every year and we are so happy to be working with Rygor for another year. We look forward to all the fantastic fundraising adventures we will be having in 2020, especially the wonderful White Horse Walk on September 26th, which was fantastic in its first year and I’m sure will grow into an even better event this coming year.” Tim Stacey, Rygor managing director said: “As part of Rygor’s continued commitment to supporting local causes, we are excited about our charity event plans for 2020. Some of the events will be open to the local community and as in previous years, the whole team will be involved in raising as much money as possible. Our Charities of the Year initiative is part of Rygor’s fantastic team culture, and we’re delighted to be able to give back to causes close to our hearts.”
