Acorns annouced as first ever Charity Partner for The Ticket Factory

A children’s hospice which provides vital care and support for families across the West Midlands has become the first-ever charity partner for The Ticket Factory. The Birmingham ticketing agent has joined forces with Acorns Children’s Hospice by launching a brand-new ticketing website, which will see a proportion of every ticket sold go towards to the charity to help fund its work supporting life limited and life threatened children and their families. To celebrate the partnership, The Ticket Factory visited Acorns in Birmingham, based in Selly Oak, to hand over 12 VIP tickets to Disney on Ice. Richard Howle, director of ticketing, said: “We are delighted to announce Acorns Children’s Hospice as one of our partners and we’re excited to support them in as many ways as we can. “They are such a worthy cause, with the ticket donation and new website being very much just the start of our relationship. It’s great to be able to donate some tickets to signal the start of the partnership, and we hope the families have a memorable day out with the help of our Resorts World Arena and Amplify colleagues, who will be providing a VIP experience at the Arena’s show deck.” Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions as well as support for their families. In the past year, the charity has supported more than 780 children and over 1,220 families, included those who are bereaved. Amy Deakin, partnership fundraising manager for Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “It was fantastic to host The Ticket Factory team earlier this week and give them a tour of our hospice. “It’s brilliant to see a ticketing business help support local causes and our families are truly over the moon with their generosity. We’re sure they’ll have a day to remember at Disney on Ice and we look forward to working closely with the team moving forwards.” Should anyone buy tickets via the following weblink a percentage of the purchase price will be donated to Acorns.
