Allianz UK presents cheque to Air Ambulance Association

Allianz UK donates cheque worth £250,000 to the Association of Air Ambulances Charity (AAAC). Employees from the insurance company chose the AAAC as its charity partner for an initial 3 year period in February 2016, with the goal of raising more than £1 million. Each of the insurer’s branches have been organising fundraising activities in their local areas to help support their respective regional air ambulance service. Allianz’s most recent donation was presented at the National Air Ambulance Conference. This donation brings Allianz’s current fundraising total to £277,116.67, with more fundraising activities planned to further improve the fundraising total. “Our employees have really gone the extra mile raising money for this important charity through a range of fundraising activities,” said Allianz UK CEO Jon Dye. “We’re pleased to be able to support the vital work air ambulances do in local communities throughout the UK.” “The Allianz relationship has flourished since they announced the AAAC as their charity partner and we thank them for their commitment and dedication to the cause,” commented AAAC chairman Liz Campbell. “The money they are raising is supporting and improving air ambulance services throughout the UK and we look forward to strengthening the relationship even further in 2017 and beyond.” The Association of Air Ambulances Charity (AAAC) is a legally-independent body created to distribute national donations to individual air ambulance charities.
