Iconic London black cabs designed with unique artwork created by leading artists and illustrators from around the world, promoting free access to therapy through Beder Therapy Vouchers.

On 19 January 2026, also known as Blue Monday, widely recognised as one of the more difficult days of the year for mental wellbeing, UK mental health and suicide prevention charity Beder announce that this week will see the launch of a powerful new public awareness campaign across Central London featuring ten one-of-a-kind iconic London black cabs, wrapped in artwork created by leading artists and illustrators from around the world, to promote Beder’s innovative Beder Therapy Voucher service.

From January to April 2026, these London cabs will take to the roads and carry mental health messages to promote Beder’s innovative Beder Therapy Voucher service providing free access to therapy through 6 x 50 minute sessions to those who are 18+ and in the UK through their collaboration with leading therapy platform Meela. Recipients can apply through a short application form on the Beder website (www.beder.org.uk) and then, upon review by an independent psychologist, receive up to six 50-minute therapy sessions, delivered online or in person, with a therapist carefully matched through Meela’s platform to ensure a strong therapeutic fit from the outset.

The campaign builds on Beder’s unique approach to softly raising awareness surrounding mental health and encouraging therapy for anyone struggling bringing mental health conversations into everyday moments, on street corners, bridges, whilst waiting at traffic lights and chance encounters. Passengers will be able to scan a QR code in each black cab to find out more about Beder Therapy Vouchers, whether to apply for themselves or share with a friend, colleague or loved one as everyone deserves someone to talk to.

One in four people experience a mental-health problem each year, with NHS waiting lists for therapy continuing to lengthen due to increasing demand, Beder’s provision of free access to therapy through Beder Therapy Vouchers provides accessible early-stage support within days after completing the application rather than waiting weeks or even months.

Artists, illustrators and typographers from different countries with ranging styles, including bold illustration, delicate line work and optimistic colour palettes, are collaborating and supporting Beder to ensure each London black cab not only spreads awareness but sparks moments of creativity and connection in the city’s daily flow. These London black cabs will transform London into a public exhibition centred on hope, wellbeing and unified by the shared belief that everyone deserves to talk.

“We want to turn these iconic London black cabs into canvas for hope and help anyone struggling with their mental health as everyone deserves someone to talk to” says Razzak Mirjan, Founder of Beder. “By collaborating with incredible artists from around the world, every taxi becomes its own message of encouragement. When someone spots one of our Beder black cabs, we want it to offer a moment of connection, reflection or support — even if it’s only for a few seconds at a traffic light – to spark the conversation and consider trying therapy”

Artists taking part in the campaign include:

1. Worry Wellbeing x 2

2. Ollies Doodles

3. Mat Voyce

4. Maddison @ Good Girl Vibe Gang

5. Violet Poppy Design

6. Dirty Bandits

7. Rachel Joy Lettering

8. Tozer Signs

9. Beder’s own designed taxi

The transformation of ten iconic London black cabs into art-led mental-health adverts marks one of Beder’s boldest public campaigns. Members of the public are encouraged to keep an eye out for the taxis across London, photograph them, share them on social media to learn more and spread the word about Beder Therapy Vouchers to someone in need. From January – April, Beder will be rolling out additional events and launches to support the campaign, with further information to follow.
