Flutter Entertainment has become the first global corporate partner of Cure Leukaemia under a new three-year agreement to 2028.
The charity partnership is expected to raise around £1m annually to support clinical trials, expand research networks and fund specialist nurses.
New global fundraising initiatives — including a Cure Leukaemia Running Club for 29,000 staff — will complement existing cycling events such as The Tour 21 and London2Paris.
Flutter Entertainment has announced a significant expansion of its charity partnership with Cure Leukaemia, becoming the charity’s first global corporate partner under a new three-year charity partnership agreement running until 2028.
The new partnership agreement builds on several years of collaboration between the gambling group and the Birmingham-based blood cancer charity. Under the new agreement, Flutter expects to raise around $1.3 million (£1 million) annually to support clinical research and accelerate access to treatments for patients with blood cancers.
Funding from the charity partnership will help deliver six major clinical trials and enable the expansion of the charity’s globally recognised Trials Acceleration Program from 15 treatment centres to 25. The financial support will also underpin the IMPACT networks — one of only two transplant and cell therapy trials networks worldwide — alongside the recently launched MyeCare Registry, which gathers real-world data on UK patients living with acute myeloid leukaemia.
Since the charity partnership began in 2023, Flutter colleagues have already generated more than $2.7 million through fundraising initiatives and participation in endurance events. These include headline sponsorship of the charity’s flagship cycling challenges, The Tour 21 and London2Paris.
The funds raised so far have helped speed up clinical trial timelines, strengthen specialist clinical trials nurse provision, and improve patient access to potentially life-saving therapies across the UK.
As part of the expanded charity partnership, Flutter will continue to support Cure Leukaemia’s cycling initiatives while introducing a new global fundraising programme — the Cure Leukaemia Running Club. The initiative will give Flutter’s 29,000 employees across more than 30 countries opportunities to take part in major marathons, virtual challenges and community fundraising events worldwide.
Proceeds from the running programme are expected to fund two additional clinical trials each year and support specialist clinical trials nurses across ten new treatment centres.
Kerry McNally, Group Head of Communities and Engagement, Flutter Entertainment, said: “This partnership brings together two things that matter deeply to our people. The power of sport to bring communities together and the belief that everyone deserves access to better health outcomes. What makes this so powerful is that it is driven by our colleagues. Their energy, commitment, and willingness to push themselves to make a difference. Becoming Cure Leukaemia’s first global partner allows us to scale that collective effort and deliver real impact for patients around the world.”
James McLaughlin, Chief Executive, Cure Leukaemia, said: “Flutter’s support since 2023 has been of pivotal importance in funding pioneering clinical trials with the potential to transform the lives of blood cancer patients across the UK. What has been especially striking is the way colleagues from Flutter have consistently fronted up, with passion, energy, and commitment for our cause.
Their collective effort has been instrumental to our impact so far, and this new global commitment will allow us to run more trials, expand the Trials Acceleration Program, and reach more families who urgently need access to the latest treatments. In December 2025, a number of globally impacting clinical trials were presented at the American Society of Haematology Conference, including the AMMO trial, which is supported through the Trials Acceleration Program, demonstrating the global impact and importance of Flutter’s continued support.”
This initiative supports 2 core focus areas under Flutter's Do More pillar: Sport and Play, and Health and Well-being. Via colleague-led participation in sport and endurance events, Flutter will continue to back initiatives that promote healthier, more active communities, while extending a culture of care beyond the workplace. The charity partnership also builds on Flutter’s broader community strategy, including the support of the International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament in Spain that took place in June and the launch of the Flutter Tech4Good Awards in October last year.
