Aberdeen International Airport announce search for new charity partner

Aberdeen International Airport has begun their search for a new charity to become the airport’s official charity partner.

Aberdeen International Airport staff will be given the final choice on a vote for the charity partner.

Any partnership will see the airport commit future fundraising events and donations to the preferred charity.

A spokesman at Aberdeen International Airport, said: “As we recover from the Covid-19 pandemic we are keen to get back to normality at our airport.

“There are a number of worthy charities out there who do some incredible work for their communities.

“We are keen to talk to charities who may be able to provide volunteering opportunities to our staff going forward.

“Aberdeen International Airport will also encourage our staff to fundraise for our chosen charity and provide support to them to do so.”

Tens of thousands of pounds were raised with the last charity partnership with Befriend a Child which came to an end in 2020.

As of March 2019 over £15,000 had been raised.

Charities are asked to complete an application form by clicking here.

Any completed applications should be sent to: community@AIAirport.com

All shortlisted charities will then be voted for by Aberdeen Airport staff and the winner of the staff vote announced.
