Ethical childrenswear brand Frugi, is looking for 3 charities to support

Leading ethical childrenswear brand, Frugi, is currently looking for 3 charities to support as part of their new charitable campaign.

Application deadline is 23:59 GMT 17th April 2016

The Little Clothes BIG Change initiative will see Frugi support 3 charities that strive to make a positive difference to the lives of children. Over the last decade, the Helston-based business has donated over £245k to environmental charities via the 1% for the planet scheme. For the next step of its philanthropic work, Frugi wants to focus on the “little people” they make their organic clothes for. Frugi will still donate 1% of its turnover every year to charity by supporting the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and its charities in India, but in addition to this, it is also looking to support 3 children’s charities. Frugi is asking charities to apply for funding via here. After all the applications have been received and shortlisted, Frugi’s charity committee will then select their 3 chosen children’s charities to support for the year. Like the popular green coin scheme, Frugi will then ask its customers to select which of the 3 charities they’d like their support to go to once they go through to the online checkout. At this point, customers can then choose to support all 3, or choose the charity that means the most to them. Co-founder, Lucy Jewson, said: “We are extremely excited to launch our new campaign. “Frugi was founded from a passion to be environmentally friendly, and we are all so proud to have raised money for such wonderful causes over the years. This year, we decided we wanted to support what Frugi also stands for; children. “Frugi will now support our local wildlife, our suppliers in India as well as three children’s charities; we can’t wait to build relationships with people who are really making a difference to the lives of little ones.”
