Maggie's Highlands announces Stagecoach Highlands as charity partner

Maggie’s Highlands and Stagecoach Highlands have come together to form an exciting year-long charity partnership to support the cancer charity in Inverness. The charity partnership will see Stagecoach Highlands support Maggie’s via employee fundraising initiatives and some brand advertising of Maggie’s services and events on its buses through September 2020 to September 2021. Some of the proposed fundraising initiatives will see Stagecoach Highlands’ employees join Maggie’s Halloween ‘Run The Runway’ event, where participants will run, jog or walk the 5km length of the runway at Inverness Airport in fancy dress! The local bus operator will also be operating a series of free shuttle services to the event on 31st October. It’s also anticipated that Stagecoach employees will participate in a number of coffee mornings and sponsored walks to raise funds for the charity throughout the year. The partnership will be celebrated by wrapping a bus in unique Maggie’s custom ‘orange’ livery to tour the Highlands area for the next 12 months... Andrew Benjamin, Centre Fundraising Manager for Maggie’s Highlands said: “We are so pleased and delighted to have forged this new year-long charity partnership with Stagecoach in the Highlands. “Maggie’s has been providing support for people living with cancer across the Highlands for 15 years.
