Redrow Homes South West raises more than £23,000 for Local charities

Redrow Homes West Country division raised a massive £23,350 in 2017 for 3 deserving Devon charities, Get Changed, Devon Freewheelers and Balloons. The team based at the housebuilder’s Exeter office, which oversees developments across Devon and Cornwall, raised the money through a range of fundraising events and initiatives including a five-a-side football tournament, a 5k sponsored run, show home furniture auction and a winter party. Redrow has supported Get Changed - a theatre company which works with adults with learning disabilities to inspire, entertain and educate public audiences – since 2014 when it was announced as the developer’s chosen charity of the year. In 2017 they extended their support to include Devon Freewheelers, a team of blood bike volunteers who provide 24/7 support for the NHS with blood supplies for transfusions, testing and direct treatment. Money raised by Redrow’s team will go towards enhancing these valuable services, including paying for a new bike for the Freewheelers. A total of £2,160 was raised by taking part in a 5k run organised by Michelmores Solicitors in support of Balloons, short for ‘Bereavement and Loss Looking Onwards’, which works with pre and post-bereaved children and young people. Annie Williams, head of sales at Redrow West Country, said: “We’re so proud of everyone at Redrow West Country’s amazing fundraising efforts, raising money for such worthy causes. “It is fantastic working with these charities who, in very different ways, provide vital support to people who really need it across the region.”
